Summer Lets

Booking a room

If you would like to reserve a room for the summer months, simply e-mail us with your requirements, dates and preferences. We’ll then reply with your booking confirmation and you can then contact us again nearer the date of your arrival in order to agree a time to meet at our offices.

A refundable booking/damages deposit of £100 per person will be required prior to moving into your house though bearing in mind that many of our summer students are from overseas and that transferring of monies can be expensive, we won’t insist on payment of your deposit monies until your arrival. We are happy to hold a room for you simply upon your request. All we ask is that you let us know as soon as possible in the event that you change your mind and decide that you will not be renting a room from us. This said, if you prefer the comfort of knowing that you have actually paid your deposit monies then you can of course pay by credit or debit card.

Your deposit monies are refundable on vacating your room and returning house keys to the office.

Rent

With the longer term rentals our tenants tend to pay on a monthly basis but we appreciate that many of our summer students are not sure how long they’ll be staying in Eastbourne or alternatively, may need to find summer jobs to finance the rent! For these reasons we’re happy to accept rental payments on a fortnightly basis, or for an extra £10 per week, on a weekly basis. Rent can be paid via cash, card, cheque or online transfer – up to you.

Duration of Stay

We are quite flexible as to the duration of your stay with us but please note that the minimum length of stay is 3 weeks and all rooms must be vacated by early to mid September (depending on which house you are staying in). Please note that we will require two weeks notice of your departure date. Anyone leaving prior to the expiry of 14 days from the date of their notice will be charged accordingly.

House Guests

We have no objection to tenants inviting a friend to stay the night on an occasional basis but due to the fact that local regulatory requirements dictate the maximum number of occupants that we are permitted to have in any particular house, we must ask that you notify us if your guest is likely to be staying for longer than two consecutive nights. Should we find that guests have stayed in breach of this requirement, you will be asked to vacate the property immediately and you will lose your booking deposit.

In accordance with UK legislation, smoking in houses is not permitted.
